Back from the last Alpaca show of the Fall

On November 6th and 7th we attended the annual Ohio Alpacafest show which this year moved to Springfield, Ohio (West of Columbus).  Cindy and I took 7 Suris and had another great show. This has probably been our best Fall show season ever. In the 4 shows we earned 19 Blues and Championships when they were offered.  The big winner was Crown Princess Ashe who had 11 to compete against and ended up with the white color Championship against some very good competition. She now has 4 Firsts in 4 shows and has the Championship in the 2 shows where there were enough entries. She is after her Mom’s (Arizona Sage) record of 7 Championships. This Crown Royale girl might just be the best we have ever raised.

Linnet continued her winning ways in getting her 3rd Blue in as many shows. Santana got his 3rd Championship in his 3rd show. What a welcome addition he is to our herd.  Rocket got his 3rd win but didn’t have enough entries in the beige/lt. fawn class for a Championship.  In the very competitive White Yearling class, Kody was 3rd, Kingsley was 5th (at 12 and 1/2 months), and Suny was 6th. The attached picture is of Ashe with her Championship banner.

Now we have a few weeks to regroup and get ready for our daughter’s wedding in December.
